Shubh Navratri BTC Trade From Structure and Liquidity to an 850.5-Point Move - Trader Shakti Saran

On the auspicious occasion of Shubh Navratri, I had another interesting Bitcoin trading experience that brought together several aspects of the way I now study markets: higher-timeframe structure, liquidity, multi-timeframe analysis, TradingView indicators, and my own UEI UA, CDE and other systems.

I had been observing BTC for several hours during the day while also continuing with my Digital Marketing, IT and other work.

Rather than relying on a single chart or indicator, I was using several higher-timeframe charts to understand the larger structure and important liquidity areas. Alongside these, I was monitoring different TradingView indicators for complementary forms of analysis, together with my UEI UA, CDE and others.

The purpose was not to predict every candle.

It was to understand the larger market journey, identify where price might be preparing to move, and wait for the developing structure to provide an opportunity with favorable risk and reward.

Watching a Higher Liquidity Area

As the session developed, BTC began showing signs that it could be preparing for another upward push.

An important area I was watching was approximately:

$83,800–$83,900

There were also significant liquidity areas higher up, including above $84,000.

Those higher areas remained relevant, but an important distinction in trading is that a possible future destination does not necessarily tell us how price will travel there.

BTC could move directly toward higher liquidity.

It could also pause, consolidate, pull back, clear leveraged positions, move sideways for a considerable period, or make a deeper retracement before eventually continuing upward.

That uncertainty matters when managing an existing position.

Entering the Long

At approximately 7:25 PM IST, I entered the BTC long at:

$83,030.5

The entry was based on the broader configuration rather than one isolated signal.

Higher-timeframe charts were helping define structure and potential destinations.

Liquidity analysis was helping identify areas toward which price could potentially travel.

Lower-timeframe charts were helping with the immediate journey and timing.

TradingView indicators along with my UA, CDE and others were providing different perspectives on momentum, transitions, market behavior and the evolving interaction between buyers and sellers.

The objective was to combine these perspectives rather than expect any one indicator to provide the entire answer.

Only 48.8 Points of Maximum Adverse Excursion

After entry, BTC initially moved slightly against the position.

At approximately 7:55 PM IST, price reached around:

$82,981.7

From the entry at $83,030.5, this represented a maximum adverse excursion of approximately:

48.8 points

[ 83,030.5 – 82,981.7 = 48.8 ]

The trade therefore experienced relatively little adverse movement before the larger upward journey developed.

BTC subsequently began strengthening again.

The Market Begins Its Push

As the evening progressed, price continued moving higher.

There were smaller consolidations and counter-moves along the way, but the larger upward structure remained constructive.

Eventually, momentum accelerated substantially.

BTC pushed through nearby resistance and began moving rapidly toward the higher liquidity region I had been watching around $83,800–$83,900.

I already had a take-profit order in place.

But as price accelerated toward it, I made an important trade-management decision.

I canceled the earlier TP.

Why I Canceled the Original TP

The original target remained reasonable.

However, the market had begun moving very quickly, and the new information suggested that price might travel somewhat farther before slowing down.

A predefined target is useful, but markets continue producing information after a trade has been entered.

Trade management therefore does not always have to remain mechanically fixed if the market configuration changes materially.

I allowed the position to continue.

BTC moved into the area I had been anticipating.

Then something changed.

When Momentum Hit a Strong Brake

As BTC approached the higher liquidity region, the strong upward momentum suddenly appeared to hit a meaningful brake.

This created a different decision.

There were still larger liquidity areas above $84,000.

Those areas could continue to attract price.

But that did not necessarily mean BTC would reach them immediately.

In fact, such visible liquidity can itself become an area many market participants focus on. Price may sometimes approach a widely watched destination, attract traders expecting continuation, and then pause, retrace or take considerably longer before eventually reaching it.

So I separated two questions:

Could BTC still eventually move higher?

and

Was remaining inside this particular long still the best decision at that moment?

Those are not the same question.

Destination Persistence Does Not Require Position Persistence

This is one of the most useful lessons from the trade.

A higher liquidity destination can remain structurally relevant even while the current trade becomes less attractive to continue holding.

The market does not owe us a straight-line journey.

A possible destination might remain valid while the current impulse loses momentum.

At that point, a trader can potentially:

exit the existing position, preserve the captured move, allow the market to reset, and consider re-entering later if convincing continuation develops again.

That was my thinking.

If BTC consolidated and subsequently showed another convincing upward move, I could always consider boarding the next leg.

There was no requirement to remain inside the current trade merely because higher liquidity still existed.

Manual Exit at $83,881

With the upward momentum visibly slowing and the immediate risk/reward changing, I manually closed the position at:

$83,881.0

The trade therefore captured:

[ 83,881.0 – 83,030.5 = 850.5 ]

Total move captured: 850.5 BTC points

The important figures from the trade were:

Entry: $83,030.5 at approximately 7:25 PM IST

MAE: 48.8 points, with price reaching approximately $82,981.7 around 7:55 PM

Exit: $83,881.0 at 9:28:43 PM IST

Move captured: 850.5 points

The objective was never to capture the exact highest tick.

It was to participate in a favorable market journey while the asymmetry remained attractive and then protect the result when the character of the move began to change.

An Unexpected Event After the Trade

Something unusual happened shortly after the position had already been closed.

My primary Windows computer suddenly encountered a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) and restarted.

Fortunately, the BTC position was already flat.

The sequence was therefore:

analysis → entry → market expansion → original TP canceled → manual exit → position flat → computer crash and restart

Whatever one makes of the timing, it provided a useful reminder that trading risk extends beyond market direction.

Computers can crash.

Internet connections can fail.

Platforms can freeze.

Power can disappear.

A trader therefore has to think not only about price risk but also about execution and infrastructure risk.

Broker-side protection, backup access and disciplined position management all matter.

Several Charts and Tools — One Decision

One of the most important lessons from this trade was that no single chart or indicator needed to provide the complete answer.

Different tools were helping with different parts of the problem.

Higher timeframes helped identify structural location.

Liquidity helped identify potential destinations.

Lower timeframes helped track the developing journey.

TradingView indicators provided additional perspectives.

UA, CDE and others contributed further information about the evolving market configuration.

But ultimately all of that complexity had to compress into a small number of decisions:

Observe.

Enter.

Hold.

Adapt.

Exit.

That is increasingly how I think trading intelligence should work.

More information should not necessarily lead to more complicated action.

Ideally:

Better analysis should ultimately produce simpler and more precise decisions.

A Shubh Navratri Trade — and a Moment of Gratitude

This trade happened during Shubh Navratri, making the experience particularly memorable for me.

Navratri is associated with strength, discipline, positive energy and the blessings of Maa Durga.

We entered BTC at $83,030.5, experienced only about 48.8 points of maximum adverse excursion, and later manually exited at $83,881.0, capturing 850.5 BTC points.

What happened immediately afterward made the experience even more memorable.

Approximately a minute after I had closed the trade, my Windows computer suddenly encountered a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death), crashed and restarted.

BTC had been moving explosively around that time.

Had the computer crashed while the position was still open, I would have needed to switch quickly to my trading app on my mobile phone to continue managing the trade. That would have taken additional time precisely when the market was moving very fast.

Instead, I had already canceled my earlier take-profit order, observed the change in momentum, manually exited the position and removed the market risk before the computer unexpectedly went down.

On Shubh Navratri, I would like to think that Maa Durga protected me in that moment. 🙏🕉️💛

Of course, technology can fail at any time, and the sequence also reinforces a very practical trading lesson: backup access, broker-side protection and disciplined risk management are important because execution risk exists alongside market risk.

But personally, the timing is something I will remember with gratitude.

Entry: $83,030.5
MAE: 48.8 points
Exit: $83,881.0
Move captured: 850.5 BTC points

Not the exact bottom.

Not the exact top.

But a meaningful part of the larger market journey — followed, almost immediately, by an unexpected reminder of how quickly circumstances can change.

Shubh Navratri! May Maa Durga bless and protect everyone with strength, wisdom, good health, happiness and prosperity. 🕉️💛🙏

Best wishes,
